Our most popular camel ride sunset desert trip departs from Marrakech and travels to Zagora over the course of two days. For those who are short on time but yet want to experience desert camping, camel riding, and sleeping under the stars, the 2-day Zagora desert trip is an absolute must. From Marrakech, you may go on a two-day desert excursion that will take you through the majestic Atlas Mountains, past beautiful palm orchards and the Draa Valley, past UNESCO World Heritage Sites, on camelback rides, and into the night beneath the stars or in a tent. Zagora is a stony desert; it differs from the Erg Chegaga Sahara in that it lacks big dunes.
Program Details:
Day 1: Marrakech – Ouarzazate and Draa Valley – Zagora Desert

Embark on a journey across the magnificent Atlas Mountains and the Tizi N Tichka Pass when your driver collects you from your riad at 8 in the morning. The breathtaking scenery of this spectacular pass will astound you. A picturesque panorama and Berber settlements around the High Atlas Mountains. We will have lunch and a tour of the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah with a local guide when we arrive at this UNESCO World Heritage Site and the biggest kasbah in Morocco. After lunch, we’ll continue our 2-day desert trip of Zagora via the picturesque Draa Valley. Camels will drop us off at the Zagora desert camp when we arrive, so you can have a camel ride while watching the sun go down. As the sun sets and the stars come out, treat yourself to a traditional Moroccan feast while listening to the music of the natives
Day 2: Zagora – Marrakech Via Draa Valley – Ait Ben Haddou
If you get up early enough, you may see the sun rising over the Zagora desert’s little dunes, which is a really appealing picture. At the Zagora bivouac, this is served with a traditional breakfast. The last leg is riding a camel back to your driver in Marrakech. While in Ouarzazate, you may stop by a restaurant for lunch and see the world-famous Kasbah of Taourirt. This concludes your two-day desert tour of Marrakech as we return you to the city in the afternoon via the Atlas Mountains. Return to your lodgings at around 6 in the morning.
