Day 1: Marrakech to Dades Valley

The trip begins at 8 a.m. with a pickup from your Marrakech hotel and continues via the Tizi N’Tichka port, stopping for panoramic views and photo chances of the Berber little towns that blend into the scenery on route to the High Atlas, Sof Moroccan Atlas mountains. The next stop is the renowned Kasbah, which was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986. We then continue south to the walled town of Ait Ben Haddou. Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, Sahara starring Penélope Cruz, The Jewel of the Nile, and many more renowned films have been filmed on this magnificent stage. Having some downtime for lunch in town may be fun. Ouarzazate, “The gate of the desert” (meaning “noiseless or without confusion” in Berber), is the next stop on our journey. One of the most breathtaking ksars in Morocco, the Taourirt kasbah, is located here. The Rose Valley, which winds its way through the expansive Skoura palm grove, is the next must-see attraction. Here, you may see the surrounding kasbahs and the more than 700,000 palm trees. Damascene roses, like the highly prized rosewater, are cultivated in this Valley for its aromatic and cosmetic uses. This museum is significant for Moroccan culture, and it is the site of the Rose Festival that takes place in May. in last, we’ve arrived in the Dades valley, our overnight destination.

Day 2 : Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Merzouga

We will have breakfast and then climb to a mountaintop vantage point that overlooks the Dades Valley, where we can take in the breathtaking scenery and marvel at the many kasbahs that dot the landscape. It is possible to reach the desert from Tinerhir by a well-maintained asphalt road that winds its way up the valley beyond the gorge. We will arrive in the Todra Gorges after making a few stops along the route. The landscape is breathtaking. You may witness locals living in their adobe homes if you go around. These gorges are well-liked by rock climbers because to the many uneven surfaces on the granite walls. After a brief hike through the Todra gorges, you’ll enjoy lunch at your leisure in Tinejdad or Touroug. Then, we’ll go out into the desert to see the breathtaking Merzouga dunes. There, we’ll embark on a one-hour camel journey to our nomadic tent situated in a sea of dunes (Erg Chebbi). On top of a dune, we will watch the sun go down before supper, and then we will pitch a tent to sleep beneath the stars.

Day 3 : Merzouga to Marrakech

A “Date with the sunrise” is scheduled for quite early in the morning. It is an absolute “must do” to wake early in the desert in order to sit atop a nearby dune and admire the most breathtaking sunrise you have ever seen. After that, we’ll ride the camels back to Merzouga, where a sumptuous meal awaits us. We begin our last day of travel, traversing the parched pre-desert region, where we will see the “acacia,” a characteristic tree of this environment, after regaining our strength. While traveling to the Draa valley, we will stop to take in the sights along the river that is the region’s namesake. This river winds its way across the whole nation of Morocco before emptying into the Atlantic Ocean in Mauritania. Continuing over the Anti Atlas, we go towards Ouarzazate. After a leisurely lunch in town, we’ll hit the road again in the afternoon, returning to Marrakech at about 8 o’clock in the evening. Our services conclude with a transfer to your accommodation.
