Southern Morocco’s stunning scenery, including the Atlas Mountains, gorges, verdant valleys, old Kasbah, oasis, and sand dunes, will be yours to explore on a 5-day desert trip of Morocco that begins in Marrakech and ends in Merzouga. Get to know the Berber people and their culture by visiting Morocco’s rural areas. In the course of these five days, you will see and sample the best of the desert communities around Merzouga.

- Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhadou – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Dades Gorge (343,5 km)
- Day 2 : Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Risani – Merzouga (247,9 km)
- Day 3: Merzouga sightseeing tour and camel ride
- Day 4: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate (367,4 km)
- Day 5: Ouarzazate – Telouet – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech (193,3 km)
Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhadou – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Dades Gorge
We will collect you from your Marrakech hotel or riad in the morning and drive you to the town of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified ksar with stunning kasbahs, over the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka (2260m). Many film makers have found Ait Benhaddou to be an ideal location. We will spend the first night in Dades after lunch. On the way, we will stop in Ouarzazate, the Skoura palm forest, and the Valley of Roses.
Day 2 : Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Risani – Merzouga
We will continue our adventure into the Sahara Desert after breakfast, driving through the Dades Valley’s beautiful Berber settlements along the route of a thousand kasbahs. to arrive in Tineghir, home to a picturesque palm tree forest. Next, we’ll go to the Todgha Gorge, a popular climbing spot, and stroll along its 300-meter-high canyons. After that, we’ll go to the Merzouga Sahara to see the Erg Chebbi dunes, and you’ll eat lunch on the route. After you get in the Erg Chebbi dunes, you will have the opportunity to ride a camel for an hour and thirty minutes while you see the sunset. The journey will bring you to the oasis tent. Under the sky or in nomadic tents, spend the night in the Sahara Merzouga bivouac. Lead the camels in a drum circle
Day 3: Merzouga sightseeing tour and camel ride
Following breakfast, you will go on the great dune loop, which will take you past many notable sites, including the two MERZOUGA oasis, the roaming deposit, the Gnaoua town of KHAMLIA, the MIFISS mines, the desert plates, where you may find Berber nomads, the TISSARDMINE oasis, and finally, the hotel
Day 4: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate
After a restful night in the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, you can witness the sunrise while riding back to the hotel on camelback. After breakfast and a shower, you’ll set off for Rissani, where you can explore the tourist area, which includes the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif and a palm grove. After lunch at Nkoub, the journey to Ouarzazate across the Draa Valley continues. Staying at the Ouarzazate hotel for dinner and the night.
Day 5: Ouarzazate – Telouet – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
Get a ride to Ait ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most picturesque Ksours (fortified towns), and explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Head on toward Marrakech, stopping en route at Telouet, a classic High Atlas Berber settlement, Kasbah el Glaoui, and the High Atlas Mountain.
