Program Details
- 1 Day: Travel from Casablanca Airport to Chefchaouen (338 KM)
- Today, we will travel 201 kilometers from Chefchaouen to Fes.
- On Day 3, you will travel 459 kilometers via Fes, Ifrane, and Merzouga.
- Day 4: a journey across the Sahara
- Proceed to Merzouga, Todgha Gorges, and Dades Valley on Day 5 (252 KM).
- On day six, you will travel 340 kilometers via the Dades Valley, the Rose Valley, Ait-ben-Haddou Ksar, and finally into Marrakech.
Día 1: Casablanca - Chefchaouen
A member of our team will be there to greet you at Casablanca Airport. From there, we will travel to Chefchaouen via the Rif Mountains, an open plateau cut across by many ravines and valleys. Once you reach Chefchaouen, you will be amazed by the stunning beauty of the city, which is situated dramatically atop the mountains. Attention! Cameras, please! This is Morocco’s blue jewel. Staying the night in Chefchaouen, complete with breakfast included.
Día 2: Chefchaouen - Fez
After you have breakfast at your riad, we will leave for Fes at around 8 in the morning. Once there, you will be escorted by a local guide to the site of Morocco’s oldest Medina, which is believed to have been built in the eighth century. The Medina’s narrow, twisting cobblestone alleyways are best explored on foot, although donkeys are also available for hire. You will visit the world’s oldest university, the University of Al Karaouine, the tomb of Moulay Idriss, the Nejjarine fountains, the world-renown tanneries, the King’s Palace, the Jewish quarter, and a ceramics cooperative to observe traditional Moroccan crafts during your tour of the Medina’s historical sites. Day 3: Fes, Ifrane, Merzouga
Ifrane, often known as Little Switzerland, will be our first stop on the way to the Sahara Desert in the morning. If you’re lucky, you may see monkeys as we make our way through the Cedar Forest. It’s lunchtime, so we’ll be heading to Midelt soon. Pass across the Middle Atlas Mountains and keep an eye out for the nomadic people that call this area home. As we continue our journey, we will halt at many picturesque viewpoints in the palm-tree-lined Ziz Valley. Then we’ll make our way to the last stop, the Sahara Desert. Dinner and breakfast are included in the overnight stay in Merzouga
Day 4: Exploring Sahara desert
Early in the morning, after breakfast, we will take you on a tour of the Sahara Desert’s golden dunes. Along the way, you will view black volcanic rocks and get the opportunity to meet a nomad family. You will learn about their nomadic lifestyle, have tea with them, and see how they make real carpets. We will have lunch at Merzouga. Our next stop will be at Khamlia, a hamlet home to the Gnaoua people known for their rich traditional music and dance. Afternoon camel rides will whisk you away to your plush desert tent, where you may spend the night beneath a sky filled with stars. Day 5: Merzouga, Todgha Gorges, Dades valley
Your camel guide will wake you up in the morning so you can see the breathtaking sunrise over the sand dunes. Many people think this was the best part of the vacation. You will return to the hamlet of Merzouga on the backs of your camels after enjoying breakfast among the Saharan dunes. Afterwards, we will begin our trip to the Dades Valley by driving via the Todghra Valley and Gorges. Along the way, we will make a stop to take photographs of the kasbahs that were erected by the Jews. Before continuing on to the Dades Valley, you will have the opportunity to stroll through the breathtaking Todghra Gorges. Dinner and breakfast are included in the overnight stay in Dades Valley.
Day 6: Dades valley, Marrakech
After you have breakfast at your hotel, we will travel to Marrakech via the Dades Valley, which is famous for its old kasbahs and spectacular rock formations, and the Rose Valley, where you can see the harvest of damask roses in April. As we continue our trip, we will stop at Ouarzazate, often called African Hollywood, a city famous for its film studios and Taourirt kasbah. Ait ben Haddou Ksar, Morocco’s biggest ksar and a UNESCO Heritage site, was the setting for several films, including Lawrence of Arabia, The Jewel of the Nile, The Gladiator, and many more. After crossing one of Morocco’s highest passes, the Tichka, we continue on to Marrakech. We expect to reach Marrakech in the afternoon
